The new system will capture the beneficial ownership details as part of the online journey without the need to upload this information via the beneficial ownership details spreadsheet. Beneficial owners are still required to upload evidence of ID.

The Irish Revenue claim that this will completely prevent cases from failing registration. There’s no firm date for its introduction, but it is hoped that it will be available by the end of June.
